Organization of Dentists in Private Practice
The Organization of Dentists in Private Practice (PTO) was founded in 1968 by progressive and future-oriented owners and employees in private dental practices. The purpose was - and still is - to undertake the best interests of Private Dental Practice I Denmark. PTO manages this through member activities and by enforcing the influence of the organization within the dental world, particularly among political decision makers at Christiansborg and where the future of private dental practices in general is settled.

PTO continuously develops new business concepts for the benefit of the private dental practice.

As a member you will have access to a variety of free services, including legal advice from PTOs attorney of law who can advise you as an owner of a dental practice on legal issues.

Structurally PTO is divided into districts built with a total of 9 circles, each headed by the district councils elected locally. The districts cover København, Sjælland, Lolland-Falster, Fyn, Sønderjylland, Århus Amt, Vestjylland, Nordjylland, and Bornholm.

In addition, the organisation consists of an executive committee elected for two years at a time. The executive committee will hold 10-12 meetings each year.

The executive committee has set up three standing committees:
- Children's dental care committee
- Editorial, information and contract committee
- Marketing and training committee
